Whale Watching
Whale watching at the Grootbos Nature Reserve The coastline at Grootbos Nature Reserve is the nursery to Southern Right Whales, coming there from June to November to breed and calve. The cliffs of Walkers Bay are the perfect starting point for amazing whale viewing.
Mothers, calves and energetic bulls come to within 30 metres of the rocky shoreline. Boat based whale-watching trips in Walkers Bay with a close-up experience to those giant mammals of the sea are available.
