1 day Great White Shark Diving Tour
Cape Town to Kleinbaai, Western Cape, South Africa

Have an unforgettable up-close experience with Great White Sharks from the the safety of a cage.

Observing and diving with Great White Sharks under the correct conditions and guidance is a wonderful experience. Even 'anti-Shark' people return from an expedition or White Shark diving trip with love, and certainly respect, for this creature.

Working in the unique marine area off the Southern Cape coast, the skippers for this tour have logged more contact with Great White Sharks than anyone else worldwide.

This is your day...

You will be collected from Cape Town or Hermanus and driven to 'White Shark Lodge', the home base in Kleinbaai. Alternatively we can arrange for car hire, helicopter or micro light transfer. You will then enjoy a breakfast at this stunning lodge. The continental breakfast consists of yoghurt, cereals, toast, cold meats, tea and coffee.

The skipper of the day gives a short lecture on Shark anatomy and behaviour. He explains how the team works with the Sharks in the area. You then spend 4 to 6 hours at sea, depending on the frequency of Shark visits to the boat during your White Shark diving trip.

The cage takes 2 to 3 people at a time for your White Shark diving. Each person spends approximately 20 minutes in the cage. All scuba equipment, including 7mm wetsuits, is provided - you don't need a scuba licence to cage dive.

For lunch, there are lunch boxes packed with bread rolls (with a variety of fillings), sweets, crisps and assorted juices and soft drinks. Upon return to the harbour, you are invited to tea, coffee, biscuits or scones at the Lodge.

You are then driven back to where you were collected.

The Boat and Crew

Shark Team is an 11 metre, 4 ton catamaran with all the latest electronic and safety equipment. The boat was custom-built for Shark diving, so there is plenty of space for everyone to view the Sharks in comfort.
