The hotel is not far from the beach, bunji jumping activities, hiking trails, bird watching locations, and the Outeniqua Choo-tjoe steam train.
Usually from June to November along the 65 km Whale Route, various species of Whales can be seen as they migrate to South Africa for the calving and nursing of their young. Up to 37 species of Dolphins and Whales can be spotted along the route.
There is a Whale Festival on the Garden Route as well, so that interested travellers may stop, see the Whales and learn more about these amazing creatures. There are a range of boat based companies who conduct activities, for visitors to get a very close look.
