Whale watching in Plettenberg Bay and Knysna

Between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna there are many Whale viewing opportunities. The Whale viewing hotspots for Plettenberg Bay include the Keurbooms, Robberg Peninsula, Robberg Nature Reserve, Signal Hill, the Beacon Isle, Look-out Deck, Look-out Beach and Harkerville. The Knysna Whale viewing hotspots include the Knysna Heads, Knysna Lagoon, Kaaimans River, Sedgefield and Brenton-on-Sea.

Into the middle of the bay, resident Bryde's Whales may be seen, as well as Common Dolphins or Southern Right and Humpback whales during their season.

Through Robberg Peninsula one can often see groups of whales and pods of dolphins. En route back guests receive a brief rundown on the history of the site of an original Whaling Station.
