Plettenberg Park Hotel is situated on 200 hectares of land in the pretty seaside town of Plettenberg Bay. The hotel is within reasonable distance to Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, George, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay Town and Plettenberg Bay Airport.
The park has three natural wetlands plus a large dam filled with bass. The indigenous vegetation consists of fynbos and proteas. The park abounds features small game and animals as well as several species of snake.Over sixty-five bird species have been noted on the reserve while a network of walking paths allows guests to explore the area for themselves.
Plettenberg Park has an outstanding coastline which is a marvelous platform from which to view the humpback whales that visit this stretch of ocean in winter, as well as the numerous schools of dolphin that are playful residents all year round.
How to get to there
Guests can arrive by plane via George Airport or Port Elizabeth Airport.
Transfers from and to these airports are available at a very reasonable rate.
There are private air charter companies that offer service into and out of the Plettenberg Bay regional airport.
Travel by road is all on tarmac, and takes approximately six hours from Cape Town
Two and half hours from Port Elizabeth
One and half hours from George.
