Whale watching in Plettenberg Bay:
Plettenberg Bay offers the unique opportunity of Whale watching from numerous sites. Armed with a pair of binoculars or even with the naked eye, guests will be able to see these majestic creatures come close to the bay to mate or give birth to their young.
Plettenberg Park
Enjoy amazing displays of these spectacular giants from your cliff top view.
Robberg Peninsula
Park your car and enjoy the views from both sides of the peninsula. For the energetic at heart, there are Whale viewing points all along the coastal hiking trail.
No 1 Beachy Head Drive
This little parking area provides a tranquil setting for Whale watching at from Central beach and out towards Keurbooms.
Beachy Head Drive
This is a small park located between Robberg 4 and Robberg 5 and boasts far, clear views over the Robberg Beach, up the Peninsula, and a far view of Keurbooms.
Van Plettenberg Monument
This monument offers a clear view over Hobie Beach and a far view of Keurbooms.
Lookout Rocks
Accessible from the bottom end of Church Street, or take a stroll along the Central or Hobie Beach to the rocks. The climbing is quite steep so is not recommended for the unfit.
The Lookout Viewpoint
This is an excellent Whale viewing site which also has information boards about the Whale.
Keurboomstrand
There are great vantage points, where guests can clearly see these amazing mammals playing in the water. Dolphins Point is a popular sight, so get out your binoculars and prepare to be amazed.
